Don't send the children refugees back without full processing by Office of Refug...

Dear President Obama,
You have acted with leadership and lawfulness requesting 3.7 billion to process our child refugees fleeing Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. We are facing a critical test of our historical commitment to protect those fleeing violence and persecution, as noted by the American Immigration Council. Do not just send these children and mothers back to life-threatening situations. (Elizabeth Kennedy's "No Childhood Here, Why Central American Children are Fleeing their Homes"; Who's Responsible for the Flight of Honduran Children? Huffington Post, 7.10.14) They can be processed in a timely manner under the Trafficking and Victim's Protection Reauthorization Act with national support. Many of us in Eugene, Oregon want to support in any way we can. Just don't "send them back" destroying our international image - "Give us your huddled masses yearning to breathe free" Thank you for your leadership.
Sincerely Linda Carnine, 5455 Saratoga St. Eugene, Oregon 97405
