Boots On The Ground
- Robert B.
- Saturday, 04 October 2014
Dear Mr. President,
When watching the news, I am saddened every morning. I was born in 1944; I love my country: grew up learning patriotic songs, such as, "God Bless America", "Over There", etc. Which brings me to the purpose of this letter. I feel that we should move a lot quicker, and put "boots on the ground". I am sick of the senseless beheadings and the threats that are everywhere in the media from this twisted group;which is our enemy.
I never get involved with politics, except for voting. But I am "voting" today to get boots on the ground, now.
The ISIS situation is out of control...and we have the power and might to rid us of this group. It is like a surreal movie, that could only be made in Hollywood.
I spent most of my life being nice to people. I would rather be playing with my pets, than writing this letter.
In closing, please do what I ask, so I can get stop watching the newscasters, which are driving me crazy.
Sincerely, Eileen Shannon
