Dear Mr President:
I need to preface my letter to you by thanking you for everything you are accomplishing and seeking to accomplish for our country. I have been a republican for many years and as you are, am proud to say that I am.
I am 72 years old and like you, have worked since I was 11. I raised four kids by myself and they have become wonderful, accomplished Americans who also are Christians and voted you into office. I now find myself struggling since retirement with three episodes of cancer. First in my leg twice and secondarily in the 2nd lobe of my right lung. Like many elderly people in our country, I am inundated with medical bills that I have little means to pay.. Like many of our elderly who have faithfully paid our bills and supported our government , I now find that I cannot afford insurance that would cover my extraordinary circumstances. Many countries around the world take care of their old people and I don't understand why a country as great as our's is would not make an effort to help us. There should be a way that we could qualify for help based upon our income and expenses. I know that other's have written you with the same question and not received any response from the White House.. This is my second letter but, God willing, I'll be here to write you again.
