Need of Senior Housing Assistance

Dear Mr. President,
I am writing you regarding my 74 year old husband, Glenn Ray Milliorn. Glenn volunteered and joined the US Air-force in August 1959 and was honorably discharged in August 1963.That being said, Glenn has had and beat colon cancer
and prostate cancer, however, he had to have radiation, thereby destroying his rectum, which had to be removed
and he has an illeostomy. The radiation destroyed his urethra, burned his bladder, and because of that, he has a supra pubic catheter. These two things can never be reversed .I am telling you this because we can no longer afford our current rent, utilities, medications, healthcare insurance premiums, and other household expenses. We applied for VA assistance and was told "because he got out of the service four months before the government recognizes the start of the Vietnam War (1964) we were denied assistance and or aid. I am 68 years old and I lost my part-time job in March 2014 and we are living on small Social Security and my unemployment check ,only .On top of being denied help by our VA, we have tried to get into senior housing, all around us, and are being told "we make too much money to qualify for government funded facilities" (that we could afford.)
I ask you to please help my husband and me get into this convenient and affordable complex so that we could have some
semblance of a normal lifestyle.
Thank you Mr. President,
Sincerely yours,
Virginia Milliorn
