Disabled people

Dear Mr. Obama

My name is Sandra Santana. I am a single mother of 2 children. I was injured back in 2012 and underwent 4 back surgeries. I used to work in tremendous amounts of pain, I didn't have another choice, I had mouths to feed and backs to clothe. I needed another procedure done on 5/20/14 a trial neurostimilor was implanted in my spine, the stimulator failed so it was removed. I was out of work for 3 months on medical leave . When the time came that I had to return back to work on 8/25/14 I wasn't able to so I had to resign and I decided I had had enough torturing so I decided to go on disability. I was awarded disability immediately a total of $829.00 monthly, but then I was denied medicaid. I was told that I had to wait a total of 2 yrs before I could get any kind of medical help. I would like to know what am I suppose to do about that? That doesn't make any sense to me what so ever because supposedly people are awarded disability because they are ill which requires medical attention. I know I still need alot of medical attention. I don't understand I have always worked very hard had to leave my children at night time with a sister so I could go work and to work alot of overtime as well and I'm the one being punished still.. I feel I'm being punished for being a little successful and those people that have never worked a day in their lives are the ones benefiting from the benefits. I believe something needs to be done asap.

Sincerely

Sandra Lee Santana
